The 31 Day Challenge

We all have goals. They may not be for weight loss. The top 10 new years resolutions set by people every year are:
  1. Lose Weight and Get in Better Physical Shape
  2. Stick to a Budget
  3. Debt Reduction
  4. Enjoy More Quality Time with Family & Friends
  5. Find My Soul Mate
  6. Quit Smoking
  7. Find a Better Job
  8. Learn Something New
  9. Volunteer and Help Others
  10. Get Organized

Maybe your goal is one of these or maybe it is something different. No matter what you goal is, and yes each one of you has one, I am asking each of you to take a challenge in May. The 31 Day Challenge to be exact. From May 1st - May 31st I am asking each one of you to figure out what you want your goal to be and achieve it over the next 31 days. Now obviously it has to be realistic. Not something like loose 50 pounds in 31 days because then you will be setting yourself up for failure. Think about it and decide exactly what you want your goal to be. Once you have decided that goal I am asking each one of you to find someone that you trust to help you stick to it. We all need a buddy system. Now in order for this to really work your buddy needs to set a goal for themselves as well.

Once all this is decided I would love for each one of you to let your buddy know about my blog and I will post weekly updates to my goals and if you would like to send me weekly updates to how you are doing I will post those as well on my blog. The more support we have in each other the more successful we will be with what we are trying to achieve.

You know have 3 days to decide what you goal is and who your buddy is. Who's in for the challenge?

  1. I think this is a great idea!!! And perfect timing as I feel like I was already falling off the train when it came to my own goals.

My personal goal is to have 31 days of "clean" eating. Basically - 1 cheat meal a week...otherwise, no alcohol & no fast food. My buddy is going to be my roommate Kristin. My added motivation...looking & feeling great for the Q the first weekend in June and for my trip home the weekend after that :)

  2. My goal is to focus on portion sizes. I feel I eat healthy, most of the time, but need to work on portion control. As well as continuing to work on getting my water in every day.

  3. My goal is to stay within my weight watcher points value all 31 days! If I do this and don't have a weight loss I will still be happy because I will know that I am staying healthy and winning this battle. (Less focus on the scale this month. It only seems to sabatouge me) Heather is my buddy. She has the password to my food journal and I will remain honest with what I eat.

  4. I'm in! My goal is one I started about 2 weeks ago and that is to eat clean and to make clean eating a lifestyle. I haven't had candy or white sugar or flour in 2 weeks! I want to lower my carbs, up my protein and find all of those muscles under there!
